Government Disclaimer
1. Independent Platform — Not a Government Website
Public OS is an independently operated civic technology platform designed to help citizens document, report, and track civic concerns.
Public OS is not a government department, government-owned website, municipal authority, or official grievance redressal system.
Unless expressly announced and independently verifiable, Public OS is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or officially integrated with the Government of India, Government of Telangana, any municipal corporation, or any other government authority.
2. Purpose of the Platform
Public OS aims to promote responsible civic participation by providing a structured digital environment for documenting public infrastructure and community-related concerns.
The platform may support:
- Citizen-submitted civic issue reports.
- Geographic identification and categorization.
- Internal review and issue tracking.
- Aggregated civic analytics.
- Community awareness and transparency.
- Exploration of potential CSR-supported civic initiatives.
These services are intended to complement public awareness and civic engagement, not replace established government grievance procedures.
3. No Guarantee of Government Action or Issue Resolution
Submitting a civic issue through Public OS does not guarantee that the issue will be acknowledged, accepted, investigated, acted upon, or resolved by any government department, municipal authority, public agency, or third party.
Public OS does not have the authority to direct government officials, allocate public resources, enforce administrative decisions, or compel any department to undertake corrective action.
Any response, action, timeline, or resolution by a government authority remains subject to that authority's independent jurisdiction, priorities, procedures, available resources, and applicable law.
Public OS may assist with documentation, tracking, visibility, or communication where feasible, but it does not promise a particular outcome or timeframe.
4. Reporting on Public OS Is Not an Official Government Complaint
An issue submitted through Public OS is a submission to the Public OS platform.
It does not automatically constitute:
- An official government grievance.
- A complaint registered with a municipal corporation.
- A statutory notice or legal representation.
- A formal application to a government authority.
- An acknowledgement or acceptance by any public department.
Users requiring formal government intervention should independently submit their complaints through the appropriate official channels.
Public OS does not guarantee that submitting a report will preserve statutory deadlines or satisfy legal filing requirements.
5. Understanding Issue Statuses
Public OS may display issue statuses such as Submitted, Under Review, Verified, In Progress, or Resolved.
These statuses reflect information maintained within the platform and should not automatically be interpreted as official government statements.
- Submitted:
- The report has been received by Public OS.
- Under Review:
- The report is undergoing review within the platform.
- Verified:
- Available information has been reviewed under the platform's verification procedures.
- In Progress:
- Available information indicates that relevant activity or follow-up is underway; this does not necessarily mean a government department has officially accepted responsibility.
- Resolved:
- Available information indicates that the reported concern has been addressed or closed according to the platform's applicable review procedures. This does not constitute official government certification.
Status accuracy depends on the information and evidence available at the time.
6. Accuracy and Verification of Information
Civic reports may be based on information, photographs, or location details submitted by citizens.
Public OS may perform reasonable checks to improve information quality but cannot independently guarantee the completeness, accuracy, authenticity, or current condition of every reported issue.
A report's presence on the platform does not establish wrongdoing, negligence, legal liability, or failure by any particular authority, organization, or individual.
7. No Official Government Data Representation
Unless clearly identified and supported by an official source, analytics and statistics displayed on Public OS represent information collected and processed through the Public OS platform.
Such statistics should not be interpreted as:
- Official government performance indicators.
- Comprehensive district-level civic issue inventories.
- Government-published grievance statistics.
- Evidence of official departmental performance or non-performance.
Public OS analytics may reflect only the reports received through its own services.
8. CSR and Third-Party Participation
Public OS may facilitate expressions of interest from companies and organizations wishing to support civic improvement initiatives through CSR.
Such participation is independent of government endorsement unless expressly confirmed through an authorized arrangement.
CSR enquiries, potential funding, or proposed collaborations do not guarantee that any particular issue will be funded, implemented, or resolved.
Any participation remains subject to appropriate verification, eligibility, applicable laws, permissions, and separate agreements.
9. Emergency and Urgent Situations
Public OS is not an emergency response service.
Do not rely on Public OS for emergencies, immediate public safety threats, medical assistance, police intervention, fire incidents, or other urgent situations.
For emergencies, contact the appropriate emergency service or competent authority directly. In India, the national emergency response number is 112.
10. No Representation of Government Authority
Public OS does not issue government orders, official approvals, statutory certificates, legal determinations, or binding directions to public authorities.
Any communication from Public OS should be understood as communication from an independent platform unless an authorized government communication is expressly identified and verifiable.
11. Limitation of Responsibility
Public OS aims to operate responsibly and in good faith.
However, to the extent permitted by applicable law, Public OS is not responsible for decisions, omissions, delays, or outcomes attributable to independent government authorities, private organizations, or other third parties.
Nothing in this Disclaimer excludes responsibility that cannot legally be excluded.
